About BOUNTY ARCHIVE

My name is Nick Piscatelli.

I am a bookbinder in New York City.

I conduct experiments concerning the concept of a book as an art object, and share my work under the name Bounty Archive.

Using specialized tools and techniques, I design and fabricate original book art by hand. I aim to educate, entertain, and investigate the ways we interact with books.

For commissions/collaboration: Please speak to the manager.

What is BOUNTY?

Though none of us are born with this talent, most of us are tremendously skilled consumers. Consumption is a learned behavior that we strengthen alongside our developing tastes and preferences, from a young age.

The same logic can be applied to creation. As we grow older, many of us create less and consume more. This is understandable, as creation inherently requires more effort than consumption.

Consumption alone may leave us satisfied, but rarely fulfilled.

The sensation of BOUNTY exists when one feels a personal equilibrium between creation and consumption.

When we create, our Consumption becomes “Inspiration”, “Research”, and “Training”. Everything begins to feel more intentional and meaningful. We see more clearly and rejoice when we realize that we’ve left our mark on the world. BOUNTY.

Through book arts, Bounty Archive aims to inspire others in their pursuit of BOUNTY.
