Book: Uchi

This work was made in collaboration with Atelier Eiko (Osaka, Japan) in May 2024.

About the Project:

うち “Uchi” refers to a home or house. I made this book during my first field mission in Japan, to remind me of the time I spent in a traditional Japanese home in Kanazawa.

In the bedroom of this home, sliding closet doors decorated with blue and white washi paper meet a solid red interior wall. This view inspired the book’s all-leather cover.
