The mystery and allure of this product merits a full Bounty FAQ. This article will not cover any claimed health benefits of this product, as they lack scientific support. If you are interested in this Bounty for any reasons that transcend pure adventure, read the massive disclaimer on Biocean’s website first.
WHAT IS BIOCEAN HYPERTONIC?
In short, it is 10mL of seawater in an elegant and provocative glass vial. I first encountered this Bounty on the counter of Dime’s Market, though I understand that it is distributed to many corners of the world and may even be sold under several unique names.
As best as I can tell, this product was created by Quinton Labs, a French company with sub-brands responsible for distributing their products throughout the globe.
The seawater used in Biocean Hypertonic is collected from the French Atlantic coast and is filtered and diluted using the company's proprietary Advanced Quinton Protocol (AQP). The resulting solution is then packaged in these adorable glass vials.
How Do you open BIOCEAN HYPERTONIC?
Before the liquid inside can be sampled, one must break both ends off of the vial. Opening the vial was more challenging than I expected, requiring a cloth for safety and a ton of strength. Ultimately, I overthrottled my torque on the glass tip and ended up launching about 0.7 mL of the potion onto the table.
Make sure you don’t accidentally swallow the little glass tips.
What does BIOCEAN HYPERTONIC taste like?
The taste of this Bounty is a unique combination of oceanic essence and the subtle mineral flavors of the earth. It begins with a hint of brine, reminiscent of the vast expanse of the sea, followed by a delicate note of minerality that lingers on the tongue. As the saltwater envelopes the palate, it evokes the senses, awakening a feeling of tranquility and wonder that only the ocean can inspire. The taste is at once familiar and exotic, a reminder of the power and beauty of the natural world. Just as you begin to grasp this flavor, the last milliliter of your fleeting sample retreats from your tastebuds, just as a crashing wave retreats back into the sea.
