Pop Tart Tile Side Table
Building a Tiled Cube Table
This project was many months in the making. Moving into a new apartment means much more than simply transplanting all of your items into a new space. A new apartment is an opportunity to envision and re-design a new way of life. Perhaps you leave some things behind which don’t embody your new vision. Certainly, you will be imagining new things to make your space special. It is in the spirit of BOUNTY to build those things yourself, whenever possible.
Bounty Imitates Life
Or in this case, life imitates Bounty. When selecting colors for this project, the aim was to mimic the timeless color palette of Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts.
Each morning across the United States, this classic pseudo-breakfast is hastily scarfed by millions of sleepy-eyed, backpack-clad school children from the cushions of dimly-lit living rooms or bouncing bus seats.
Enjoyed toasted or cold, this snack says “wake up idiot, it’s time to go.”
Of course, this was the perfect mantra to instill into a piece of furniture which will greet you each morning.
I hope this video helps you to draw inspiration from BOUNTY. By doing so I’ve found that you can imbue everything around you with the same comforts we find in our favorite foods.
